Concours International de Lyon 2025

At the international alcoholic beverages competition held in Lyon, France on March 21–22, Selin represented Turkey as a jury member in the wine category. Two Turkish producers won silver medals at the competition.

Selin İşmen

Wine Learning Professional and Judge

Selin, originally from Istanbul and born in 1986, completed her undergraduate studies in Public Relations and Promotion at Kadir Has University, Faculty of Communication, in 2009. She then pursued a master’s degree in Human Resources Management, specializing in Learning and Development, at Bahçeşehir University Institute of Social Sciences. Since 2011, she has been immersed in the world of wine, contributing to brand communication and learning initiatives at Barbare and Yazgan wineries. Her academic journey continues with WSET wine certifications. In 2016, following her R&D project VitiVR: Viticulture Training in Virtual Reality at Bahçeşehir University, she joined the same institution as a lecturer. Deeply engaged in the intersection of innovation and education, she explores the use of emerging technologies in wine training. Selin has also served as a jury member and moderator at prestigious wine competitions including the Turkish Wine Challenge, Concours International de Lyon, Frankfurt International Trophy, and Women’s International Trophy.
